  A: The installation process of the 2AZ-FE charging system generator assembly starts by using a bolt to fasten the wire harness clamp bracket with 8.4 Nm torque settings (85 kgf-cm and 74 in-lbf). The crankshaft position sensor wire harness must be correctly held in place by the wire harness clamp bracket which sits at the back of the timing chain cover rib. The generator installation requires two bolts which should be torqued to 21 Nm (215 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf) and 52 Nm (530 kgf-cm, 38 ft-lbf) respectively. Put the wire harness clamps in place before connecting the generator wire with a nut torqued to 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). After that, install the terminal cap and connect the generator connector. Place the engine belt around the generator and fan before attaching the front fender apron seal through three clips and two screws. Before completing the procedure you need to initialize the system according to manufacturing specifications when reattaching the negative battery terminal cable.
