    A: The installation of parking brake cable begins with attaching it to the backing plate through the bolt while maintaining 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf) torque. Proceed by installing new cable clamp B on the rear axle beam before tightening each of its 4 bolts to 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf). After passing the parking brake cable through cable clamp A you should install it onto the stud bolt with proper fastening while connecting the cable end to the equalizer. The front No. 4 floor heat insulator requires two nuts which must be tightened to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf). Next follow procedures for installing the rear brake shoe kit and checking the rear drum brake operations and then installing the rear brake drum sub-assembly. The rear wheel installation requires rear drum brake shoe clearance adjustment with torque set to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf). Check and modify the parking brake lever movement if needed. Follow this sequence for installing the rear console box assembly, console box carpet and sedan uses rear upper console panel subassembly but hatchback needs rear console box cover. The order of assembly requires installing the shifting hole cover sub-assembly for hatchback manual transaxle followed by upper console panel sub-assembly for sedan and completing with the shift lever knob sub-assembly for manual transaxle.
