2008 Toyota Yaris Fuel Injector Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the fuel injector on 2008 Toyota Yaris?
A: A proper procedure to extract the 1NZ-FE fuel injector involves fuel system pressure discharge first. The first step involves disconnecting the negative battery cable after which technicians should remove cylinder head cover No. 2 and ignition coil No. 1. The ventilation hose along with the hose numbered 2 need to be disconnected. Proceed by disconnecting both the fuel injector connectors before untarring the connector along with three wire harness clamps and disconnecting the engine wire harness. The bolt then the wire harness bracket needs removal before disassembly of the cylinder head cover sub-assembly by separating the 9 bolts and 2 nuts and 2 seal washers. Procedure for fuel tube sub-assembly disconnect entails unclamping the fuel pipe and pinching the fuel tube connector retainer to pull it free from the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly without permitting any foreign material to enter. Keep all tools away from the nylon tube at all times while also avoiding any forced twisting or bending of the tube or any turning motion of its ends. A vinyl bag should be used for protecting separated components. To unstick fused fuel tube connector and pipe components you should use a combination of push and pull movements. The 3 bolted fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly needs removal yet ensure the injectors do not fall out. Start by disassembling delivery pipe No. 1 through the removal of its 2 spacers and then proceeding to pull out the 4 injector vibration insulators and the 4 injector assemblies.
