The worker must first remove the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly LH together with the center lower instrument cover. A technician should begin by taking out the front ash receptacle box sub-assembly and the lower instrument cluster finish panel. First remove the cigarette lighter cover then separate the cigarette lighter assembly by removing its knob followed by its element. A screwdriver should be used to detach the claw and extract the cigarette lighter socket and retainer assembly from the lower instrument cluster finish panel while the screwdriver tip must be taped before handling these components.
