Follow these installation steps for the radiator assembly by first fastening it with 4 bolts torqued to 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf). Begin by connecting Automatic Transmission oil cooler hoses fully and continue by linking radiator hose NO. 2 and the radiator hose inlet. After installing the fan pulley proceed by mounting both fan shroud and fan assembly with fluid coupling yet avoiding contact between these components and the radiator. Install the fan with fluid coupling using 4 nuts according to a torque setting of 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). After that, fasten a total of 2 additional bolts at the specified torque. Attach the fan shroud hoses that connect the oil cooler to its outlet and inlet while you also route the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator before installing the V belt for the fan generator. Apply torque of 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm and 18 ft-lbf) to the 4 nuts while securing them. The installer should secure the LH radiator support frame seal through nine clips while connecting the negative battery cable with 3.9 Nm torque (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf). Complete the engine coolant addition process while monitoring for any fluid leakage. You will install the engine under cover sub-assembly NO.1 for Pre Runner and 4WD Type with a torque setting of 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf).
