How to remove the front lower Control Arm on 2008 Toyota Tacoma?

The first step in removing the front lower suspension arm of 2WD vehicles consists of taking out the front wheel. You need to inspect the front suspension lower arm by applying 294 N (30 kgf, 66 lbf) force to push up and down on hub nuts while using a dial indicator for checking lower ball joint play on the disc so the maximum play stays under 0.5 mm (0.020 in.); replace the lower arm if this limit is exceeded. Removing the front stabilizer link assembly is followed by separating the front shock absorber with coil spring through the removal of bolt and washer and nut. To detach the front suspension lower arm follow these steps: remove the attaching 2 bolts from the front lower ball joint to the front axle then place matchmarks on the camber adjust cam No. 2 and take out the 2 nuts along with the 2 No. 2 camber adjust cams, 2 No. 1 camber adjust cams and the front suspension lower arm. Detach the front lower ball joint attachment by using Special Service Tool: 09628-00011 while removing the cotter pin and nut. The front spring bumper needs to be removed at this stage of the installation process.
