2008 Toyota Tacoma Clutch Master Cylinder Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the Clutch Master Cylinder on 2008 Toyota Tacoma?
A: The first step for clutch Master Cylinder removal begins with draining clutch fluid followed by separating the clutch reservoir tube from the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube through the use of a union nut wrench. Start by uninstalling the front door scuff plate found on the left side and the cowl side trim board located on the LH (left hand) position along with the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel. The driver side junction block requires separation prior to disconnecting the clutch start switch connector and removing the clutch pedal assembly containing the clutch master cylinder through two nuts and a bolt removal. Finish by disconnecting the clutch reservoir tube while using a union nut wrench to remove the 2 way tube from the clutch master cylinder assembly. After that disconnect the nut and clutch start switch from the clutch pedal support before removing the clutch master cylinder assembly using 2 bolts.
