2008 Toyota Prius Spoiler Parts Q&A
Q: How to install the rear spoiler on 2008 Toyota Prius?
A: The first step for installing the rear spoiler requires you to install the center stop light assembly. Heating both the vehicle body and spoiler with a heat light is necessary for installing the large type rear spoiler but customers should avoid overheating these materials. Protective tape should be applied first under the rear spoiler before heating both the rear spoiler and vehicle body surface. Clean up both surfaces with adhesive residue after removing double-sided tape rounds. After applying new double-sided tape to the rear spoiler users must heat both surfaces of the component again. Take care to keep the exposed adhesive of the rear spoiler without foreign debris after peeling out the release paper. You need to fit the center stop light connector and place three clips for rear spoiler attachment while installing four bolts. Continue with the installation process of the rear wiper motor assembly followed by back door upper trim board assembly and back door lower trim board assembly before completing with the rear wiper arm assembly. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal next while conducting initialization since this step becomes mandatory for systems that need battery termination (negative).
