Q: How to remove the front Sway Bar Kit on 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Starting the front sway bar kit removal process requires removal of the sway bar kit control valve protector. After that open the sway bar kit control while keeping the accumulator housing shutter valve open. The first step includes removing both the front wheel along with tailpipe assembly before proceeding to remove the exhaust center pipe assembly. The mechanic should first lower the suspension fluid pressure while extracting both the left and right front fender splash shield sub-assemblies. The maintenance worker should start by removing the No. 1 engine under cover sub-assembly and then proceed to disconnect the left side's front fender apron seals both on the front and rear sections. Proceed by removing two bolts from the sway bar kit control tube protector before disconnecting the front assembly of No. 1 sway bar kit control tubes by using both bolts and gaskets for removal. Loosen the two bolts from each front No. 1 sway bar bracket on the left side and right side. Disassemble front sway bar links from both sides by unthreading the bolts, nuts and links then utilize 6 mm hexagon wrench on ball joint nut when necessary. Later disconnect the front No. 1 sway bar brackets mounted on the front frame assembly by removing the 2 sway bar bracket bolts. The front sway bar kit control cylinder requires dismantling by disconnecting its frame assembly bolt together with washer and nut before removing the cylinder itself. Begin by taking the bolt, nut and the bar out from the sway bar kit control arm then detached the 2 sway bar bushes from the front sway bar kit. The front sway bar kit control cylinder requires removal of its bolt, nut and arm from the control cylinder to access the 2 front suspension control bleeder plugs.
