How to remove the Power Mirror Switch on 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser?

The procedure to remove the Power Mirror Switch starts with removing the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion followed by the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH then continuing with the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish and the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish. First disconnect the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly followed by removing the No. 1 lower instrument panel finish panel. Then detach the No. 1 switch hole base. Extract the outer mirror switch assembly using a screwdriver to unclip the four claws. For the retractable mirror switch simply unclip its two claws with the screwdriver. A useful precaution when using a screwdriver is to apply tape on its tip for protection.
