The starter assembly for the 2GR-FE engine must be fixed with 2 bolts at 37 Nm (380 kgf-cm, 26 ft-lbf). Attach the wire harness to terminal 30 followed by a proper nut tightening to 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf) using a cap for protection. Install terminal 50 to the starter assembly as a next step. The first step should be to install the air cleaner inlet No.1 followed by the air cleaner assembly with attached hose and the battery negative terminal connection. Some systems need initialization procedures when disconnecting the battery terminal which should be completed before finalizing the procedure.
