2008 Toyota 4Runner Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the Vapor Canister on 2008 Toyota 4Runner?
A: The Evaporative Emission Control Canister needs removal before starting the tire replacement process. Users must disconnect the charcoal canister outlet hose No. 2 by pushing the connector deeply inside before pinching portion A to pull out the connector. Extract the canister outlet hose from the fuel tank filler pipe while taking out the welding bolt that holds the charcoal canister filter. The first step for removing the charcoal canister assembly involves disconnecting the fuel tank vent hose from the canister by inserting the connector fully inside then pinching portion A before removing the connector. Remove both the canister outlet hose No. 2 from the charcoal canister the same way while disconnecting the connector from the pump module and the purge line hose from the charcoal canister. To remove the charcoal canister, detach its three body-mounting bolts and then extract the container from the vehicle body.
