How to remove the rear Tail Light assembly on 2008 Scion xB?

A screwdriver with taped tip should be used to carefully dislodge the seven claws that secure the rear combination light service cover which enables its removal. The procedure starts with disconnecting the connector followed by removing 3 nuts while you carefully move the rear combination light toward the rear of the vehicle. Cautiously pull off the rear combination light lens gasket while also peeling it off from the body before installing a new gasket to stop moisture intrusion. The installation process includes twisting both the bulb and light socket within the indicated direction by the arrow until they separate from the socket after which the bulb can be easily removed. Before removing the rear combination light bulb first remove the socket and bulb by turning them according to the specified arrow direction.
