• Q: How to install the windshield glass on 2008 Scion tC?

  A: After treating the No. 2 windshield glass stopper areas with Primer G let it dry for 3 minutes then install 2 new stoppers onto the windshield glass. After completing the above task install two fresh stoppers into the vehicle. Apply Primer G to the glass areas using suction cups first and let it dry for 3 minutes. Then install the adhesive dams through all parts except the spacer section A before setting the glass correctly. Apply Primer M to the vehicle body surface that becomes exposed after glass removal and let it dry for 3 minutes before coating the glass surface in Primer G for another 3-minute drying period. Apply adhesive Part No. 08850-00801 or equivalent to the glass and use it within the given time after cutting the cartridge nozzle. Press the glass against the vehicle surface along the matching marks while gently pressing the rim with a small gap between it and the vehicle body until protective tape holds the glass in place until the adhesive sets. Stick Primer G to the contact area of the windshield glass then wait 3 minutes before placing the moulding marks at each glass notch before the adhesive sets. Wait the minimum time stated before driving the vehicle after setup. Proceed to install the cowl top ventilator louver RH and LH, hood to cowl top seal, front wiper arms RH and LH, front wiper arm head cap, roof headlining assembly, map light assembly, visor holders LH and RH, LH and RH visor assemblies, assist grip sub-assembly and cover, front pillar garnishes LH and RH, front door opening trim Weather Strips LH and RH, cowl side trim sub-assemblies LH and RH, front door scuff plates LH and RH, inner rear view mirror assembly, and finally, check for leaks and repair any with auto glass sealer.
