Start by applying Primer G to the installation portion of the No. 2 windshield glass stoppers before the drying process takes at least 3 minutes then dispose of leftover primer. Place two new stoppers onto the windshield glass before fitting two new stoppers onto the vehicle body. Primer G should be applied to the glass surface where adhesive dams will be mounted and should be allowed to dry for 3 minutes before removing the residue with white gasoline. Put adhesive parts of the dam on the windshield glass by removing the peeling paper before you position the glass using suction cups. Keep the contact surfaces even before making matchmarks for new glass installation. First spread Primer M on the uncovered vehicle body segment and let it dry for 3 minutes before treating the glass surface with Primer G that needs 3 minutes to evaporate. Use the adhesive (Part No. 08850-00801 or equivalent) for glass application but do it within the cartridge nozzle time limit after the cartridge nozzle needs cutting. Apply the glass to its body position while matching the marks together and gently press it to the rim before securing it with protective tape until the adhesive sets. The technician should apply Primer G to the outside windshield glass contact surface then line up moulding marks with glass notches before the adhesive becomes dry. A leak test should be performed after the adhesive hardens before using auto glass sealer to repair leaks and reinstalling the negative battery terminal and executing system initialization due to system requirements.

Prior to taking out the windshield disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal and give it 90 seconds to stop Air Bag and pretensioners from activating. Start by taking out the front door scuff plates, door opening trim Weather Strips, and front pillar garnishes along with inner rear view mirror. Next remove the cowl side trim sub-assemblies, assist grip cover, visor assemblies, map light assembly, and windshield moldings outside. Also detach the front wiper arm head cap, wiper arms, hood to cowl top seal, cowl top ventilator louvers, Weather Strips from both front doors, scuff plates and assist grip cover. Lift the roof headlining segment and take out the front wiper arm head cap along with both wiper arms and the hood to cowl top seal plus ventilator louvers on the left and right. Only cut through old windshield moulding from outside to avoid vehicle body harm then remove the glass through these steps: tape the outer surface, put wire under glass and body, mark points if needed, insert wire and remove glass with suction cups. Remove any damaged stoppers and dams from the windshield glass while also cleaning the outer edges with white gasoline. To protect the vehicle body during cleaning use a tool to cut away excess glue then apply a safe cleaning product.

Install the adhesive dam while excluding the spacer area A.

Apply Primer G to the glass where the adhesive dams will be installed, allow it to dry for 3 minutes, then remove the peeling paper from the adhesive part of the dam and install it on the glass, avoiding the spacer area A.

Cut off the windshield moulding outside carefully to avoid damaging the vehicle body.

Clean the windshield glass by scraping off damaged stoppers, dams, and adhesive, and clean the outer edges with white gasoline, avoiding contact with the glass surface afterward.

Apply Primer G to the installation part of the No. 2 windshield glass stoppers and install two new stoppers onto the windshield glass.

Remove the wiper head caps, front wiper arms, hood to cowl top seal, and the louver itself.
