2007 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the blower motor resistor on 2007 Toyota Yaris?
A: Service of the blower motor resistor begins with removing the negative battery cable. Both Hatchback and Sedan models require removal of the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly RH. The service of the blower resistor begins by removing the floor carpet followed by connector removal and two screw removal which locks down the resistor. A new blower resistor needs replacement since the resistance measurement differs from the specified value. The second step of installation involves fastening the new blower resistor with both screws after reconnecting the connector then reattaching the floor carpet. Follow up by reinstalling the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly RH for both Hatchback and Sedan models and finally reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal while applying 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) tension.
