2007 Toyota Tundra Cooling Fan Assembly Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the Cooling Fan Assembly on 2007 Toyota Tundra?
A: The radiator cooling fan service process must start with removal of the No.1 engine under cover and the drain of engine coolant before V-bank cover removal. Begin by taking out the radiator hose inlet and outlet then proceed with removing the fan shroud and fan by untightening the 4 securing nuts near the fluid coupling. The repair requires checking the fluid coupling assembly for damage alongside looking for silicon oil leaks and conducting replacement if any component shows signs of damage. When installing the fan into the coupling position the fan using 4 nuts to which you should apply 9.0 N m of torque (92 kgf cm or 80 in. lbf torque). Reinstall the fan shroud after installing radiator hoses inlet and outlet while adding engine coolant to check for coolant leakages. Conclude by reinstalling both the V-bank cover together with the No. 1 engine under cover.
