How to remove and install the Front Seat Belt Assembly on 2007 Toyota Sienna?

The first step to remove the Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly involves disconnecting the negative battery cable terminal then waiting 90 seconds before continuing to avoid Air Bag activation. Initiate removal operations on the front seat and scuff plates for front doors and rear doors as well as both front door Weather Strips before eliminating the center pillar lower garnish. Start by removing the floor anchor cover during front seat outer belt assembly removal before unbolted the front side and detaching the pretensioner connector then unscrewing the shoulder anchor side nut followed by bolt removal. The next step requires removal of the center pillar upper garnish together with the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly by unbolting it. The front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly installation must begin by screwing a bolt with torques set at 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm and 31 ft.lbf). The center pillar upper garnish and front seat outer belt assembly installation must be followed by not disassembling the retractor. The ELR lock must be inspected for its tilt degree to confirm it locks beyond 45 degrees and stays unlocked under 15 degrees; otherwise the whole assembly must get replaced. The retractor requires installation with two bolts and the shoulder anchor needs a nut and floor anchor needs a bolt which should receive torque settings of 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf). The sequence is floor anchor cover application. The replacement of the assembly is necessary if the ELR lock function or child restraint system belt locking and rewinding fail during inspection. Complete the installation process by adding the center pillar lower garnish together with front and rear door Weather Strips as well as front and rear door scuff plates and the front seat assembly and then reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal and execute any required initialization procedures.
