  A: The first step before servicing the Steering Angle Sensor requires disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal and letting it rest for at least 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. A technician must first detach 6 claws to remove the steering angle sensor after removing the No. 2 and No. 3 steering wheel cover lower and the steering pad assembly and steering wheel assembly and the tilt lever bracket and the steering column cover and the spiral cable sub-assembly. Follow this installation process: first position the location pins correctly and then attach the 6 clips before fitting the sensor onto the spiral cable.
