A gasket scraper with tape coverings should peel off the adhesive layer of each name plate to bring it off from the surface while scraping away. Remove the protective tape afterwards. The procedure must be done for each name plate beginning with the No. 2 back door followed by the rear name plate where protective tape must be applied before heating and scraping prior to tape removal. Place an infrared light on the rear name plate surface before removing double-sided adhesive tape by rubbing it warm. First check the complete removal of tape before cleaning the surface with a non-residue solvent that prevents any adhesion failure. Install the new rear name plate by using 2 pins according to proper alignment in locations where temperatures exceed 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit). C (68 degrees Fahrenheit); if below, heat both the back door panel and the name plate to 20 to 30 degrees Celsius (68 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit) before installation. You should clean and install the same way on both the No. 2 and No. 1 back door name plates when the temperature outside is ideal for correct adhesion.
