2007 Toyota 4Runner Yaw Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Yaw Sensor on 2007 Toyota 4Runner?
A: The Yaw Rate Sensor service requires uninstallation of the console upper rear panel sub-assembly before proceeding to remove the console panel sub-assembly upper along with the console upper panel garnish No.1 and No.2. Start by taking out the console box assembly rear which leads to disconnecting the yawrate sensor connector followed by removal of the two bolts that secure the yawrate sensor. The installation of the yawrate sensor involves fastening it with two bolts that require 13.3 N.m (136 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf) torque before reconnecting the yawrate sensor connector. The procedure requires installation of the console box assembly rear followed by adding the console upper panel garnish No.2 and No.1 and finally the console panel sub-assembly upper and console upper rear panel sub-assembly. The procedures for a yawrate sensor zero-point calibration and VSC signal check need to be performed upon installation completion.
