  • Q: How to remove and install the Blower Motor on 2007 Toyota 4Runner?
    A: To remove the blower unit, first remove the console upper rear panel sub-assembly, followed by the console panel sub-assembly upper, console upper panel garnish No.1, console upper panel garnish No.2, console box assembly rear, cowl side trim board RH, instrument panel under cover sub-assembly No.2, glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly, glove compartment door sub-assembly, instrument panel finish panel lower No.2, instrument panel register assembly No.2, and air duct No.2 by removing 4 bolts and disconnecting the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly, then removing 3 claw fittings. To remove the blower assembly start with releasing 7 clamps followed by disconnecting connectors while removing 1 bolt, 2 screws and 1 nut before releasing the claw fitting. Begin the installation process by attaching the blower assembly with the claw fitting and bolt while adding two screws and nut. Torque the bolt to a value of 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf) and tighten the nut to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) before connecting seven clamps and their corresponding connectors. Follow this step by step procedure with the installation of air duct No.2 then instrument panel register assembly No.2 and instrument panel finish panel lower No.2 after which come glove compartment door sub-assembly and glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly. Both instrument panel under cover sub-assembly No.2 and cowl side trim board RH need to be installed followed by console box assembly rear then console upper panel garnish No.2. Secure the console upper panel garnish No.1 and console panel sub-assembly upper before installing the console upper rear panel sub-assembly.
