- Q: How to service the PCV Valve on 2007 Scion tC?A: You need to service the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve by starting with No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly removal followed by disconnecting the No. 2 ventilation hose from the ventilation valve before installing the valve with a 22 mm deep socket wrench. The 22 mm deep socket wrench should be used to install the ventilation valve after applying Part No. 08833-00070 Three Bond 1342 or equivalent adhesive to 2 or 3 threads on the valve. Ensure the torque reaches 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf). The last step includes putting back the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly and conducting a leak check of the engine oil system.
