2007 Scion tC Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove and reinstall the rear Car Speakers assembly on the LH side on 2007 Scion tC?
A: The first step to remove the rear speaker assembly from the LH side requires disconnecting the negative battery cable along with a 90-second wait period to stop both Air Bag and seat belt pretensioners from activating. The necessary steps for removal begin with taking out the tonneau cover assembly, followed by the back door scuff plate, deck floor box LH, deck floor box RH, rope hook assembly, No. 1 rear floor board, rear seat cushion assembly, rear seatback assembly LH, front door scuff plate LH, luggage No. 1 compartment trim hook, and side No. 1 trim assembly LH. To finish the process disconnect the connector and take out the rear speaker assembly LH by removing its three securing screws. Begin the installation by putting the three screws to attach the rear speaker assembly LH before restoring the connector connection. After installation of the back door scuff plate you should continue with the tonneau cover assembly followed by the deck board sub-assembly and finish with the deck floor boxes LH and RH along with No. 1 rear floor board and rope hook assembly and rear seat cushion assembly and lastly the rear seatback assembly LH and front door scuff plate LH and side No. 1 trim assembly LH and luggage compartment trim hook No.1. Complete the process by attaching the cable to the negative terminal of the battery before starting the initialization procedure because some systems need initialization during these operations.
