The service process of the rear speed sensor begins with a negative battery cable disconnect. First disconnect the speed sensor connector before removing the nut and sensor to service the rear speed sensor while avoiding attachments of foreign matter to the sensor tip and its installation hole. The rear speed sensor installation requires correct positioning with the nut then torque it to 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf). Before attaching the speed sensor connector clean the sensor tip. Reinstall the negative battery cable by tightening it to 3.9 N.m using torque wrenches set to 40 kgf.cm or 35 in.lbf. The VSC sensor signal needs to be checked when VSC is enabled while the ABS sensor signal must be checked independently of VSC.
