How to service and repair the front wheel speed sensor on 2006 Toyota Tacoma?

Disconnection of the negative battery cable is the first step for both servicing and repairing the front wheel speed sensor. Disengage the front wheel by first disconnecting the speed sensor connector along with removing the bolt. All foreign objects must be prevented from sticking to the sensor tip as well as from entering the sensor installation area. The installation process requires you to attach the front speed sensor with the bolt at 8.3 N.m (85 kgf.cm) torque while making sure the sensor tip remains clean before connecting the speed sensor connector. Reinstall the front wheel by tightening it to 113 N.m (1,152 kgf.cm, 83 ft.lbf) and then connect the cable to the negative battery terminal with 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf) torque force. To complete the testing process check the VSC sensor signal with VSC activation and the ABS sensor signal with VSC disabled.
