2006 Toyota Solara Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the rear spoiler on 2006 Toyota Solara?
A: The removal of rear spoiler starts with disassembly of luggage compartment door inside handle cover followed by removal of luggage compartment door handle inside and the luggage compartment door cover. The rear spoiler sub-assembly requires removal by disconnecting four bolts while using protective tape over the body and heating the spoiler below dangerous temperatures. Safety blocks attached to wires make the process easier before the adhesive tape can be removed by piano wire while shielding the body and spoiler from damage. The body mounting surface receives heat treatment while excessive heat is avoided to remove protective tape from the body before cleaning any stains. When a reused spoiler gets installed the surface needs cleaning and the adhesive tape must be removed to be replaced with new tape before applying heat without excessive heat to both surfaces. Heat the body and spoiler again with care before completing the spoiler installation by securing it through 4 bolts.
