How to replace the rear spoiler sub-assembly on Toyota Solara?

The repair of the rear spoiler sub-assembly requires initial steps which start with removal of the luggage compartment door inside handle cover and then proceed with removal of the luggage compartment door handle inside and ultimately the luggage compartment door cover. First remove the 4 bolts from the rear spoiler sub-assembly and then apply protective tape to the body while heating the spoiler carefully without excessive heat. The replacement requires piano wire to remove adhesive tape while protecting the spoiler for possible reuse and preventing body damage while working. When the spoiler is removed from the vehicle the operator should heat the body mounting area for installation while also removing protective tape before cleaning any visible stains using a cleaning solution. When reusing the spoiler it must be cleaned before removing adhesive tape and installation of fresh tape follows the provided illustration. The installation of the spoiler requires heating both the body and spoiler to an appropriate temperature before securing it with the provided 4 bolts.
