How to service the wiper switch on 2006 Scion xA?

When it has to be serviced, the negative battery terminal must be disconnected and allowed to rest 90 seconds before servicing the wiper switch. Take off steering column cover and wiper switch assembly, and be sure to put the screwdriver tip when it is taped. Installation Replace switch, connector, and cover. Lastly, reconnect the battery and initialize (where necessary).
