Begin the oil filter replacement through the removal process by employing Special Service Tool: 09228-06501. Wash the area for installing the new oil filter and lubricate the filter gasket using fresh engine oil. Begin by hand-tightening the oil filter into position until the gasket rencontre(itemizes) the seat while using Special Service Tool: 09228-06501 before advancing to the full tightening process with the same tool. A torque wrench can be used for oil filter tightening to 17.2 Nm (175 kgf-cm, 13 ft. lbs.); otherwise, a common wrench or hand tightening it 3/4 turn works instead.
