How to remove and install the A/C Compressor on 2006 Scion tC?

To take out the HVAC compressor, drain the refrigerant, unplug the negative battery terminal and wait 90 s. Unattach the refrigerant hoses, engine cover, fan and generator belt then the compressor. Install back in reverse, making sure that you do not over-torque anything, and that refrigerant does not leak after filling.
