• Q: How to replace the fuel injector on 2005 Toyota Tacoma?

  A: As a first step you need to drain fuel system pressure before disconnecting the negative battery cable terminal. Draw the engine under cover sub-assembly No.1 and drain the engine coolant before taking out the intake air connector and the throttle w/motor body assembly. A technician must first pinch, detach, and remove the fuel hose No.1 after lifting the checker upward and checking that no debris exists on the fuel tube connector. The same procedure will be applied to fuel hose No.2. To remove the fuel delivery pipe w/injector it requires that connectors from each injector along with VSV connector and engine wire harness clamp and compressor magnetic clutch connector (if equipped) are detached before removing the harness clamp bracket and releasing the 2 bolts on the fuel delivery pipe to gain access while ensuring the pipe and injectors stay free of damage.
