  A: The replacement of the cigarette lighter assembly requires disconnecting the negative cable battery terminal first. To access the cigarette lighter assembly start by taking off the instrument panel under tray and the instrument panel hole cover depending on the parking brake type. Additionally disconnect the following parts: console upper rear panel sub-assembly, rear console box assembly for separate seats, instrument panel cup holder tray used with A/T transmission and separate seats, front console box, air conditioning control assembly and radio receiver assembly. The technician should follow these steps which include separating the hood lock control lever sub-assembly together with removing the instrument panel finish panel lower No.1, the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly, and the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
