- Q: How to replace Parking Brake Cable Assembly No. 1 on 2005 Toyota Sienna?A: The first step for Parking Brake Cable Assembly No. 1 installation requires disconnecting the battery negative terminal. Beginning the replacement of Parking Brake Cable Assembly No. 1 requires technicians to remove the front door scuff plate LH and cowl side trim board LH together with the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly lower LH and rear door scuff plates RH and LH and the front seat assembly LH which can be manual or power or fold flat type. The first step requires workers to remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (captain seat type LH or center) and then proceed with removing the rear floor seat lock covers. Start by taking away the parking brake control pedal assembly followed by the parking brake pedal bracket protector prior to extracting parking brake cable assembly No. 1. The parking brake control pedal assembly requires disconnection of parking brake cable assembly No.1 through removal of the lock nut and adjusting nut together with the clip.
