Take out 4 bolts and the pump pulley by using Special Service Tool: 09960-10010 (09962-01000, 09963-00700) in combination with the generator assembly to disconnect the crankshaft position sensor wire harness clamp. Start water pump replacement by taking out 4 bolts and 2 nuts together alongside the bracket before removing the water pump. Apply seal packing (Part No. 08826-00080 or equivalent) to the water pump but first ensure that all FIPG packing material is eliminated from the contact surfaces and wipe off all surface oil before installation. Complete the process within 5 minutes after applying the packing and abstain from pouring engine oil for 2 hours after the installation.
