The ball joint study rotation should be checked by performing five back-and-forth motions followed by installing the nut. Apply the torque wrench to steadily rotate the nut through 2 to 4 seconds for each turn until the 5th turn when you measure torque while assuring a selected range of 1.0 to 4.9 Nm (10 - 50 kgf-cm, 8.7 - 43 inch lbs.). The installation requires users to position the lower ball joint followed by tightening the nut up to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.) while adding a new cotter pin.
