2005 Toyota Celica Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you replace the A/C Accumulator on 2005 Toyota Celica?
A: The procedure for dryer replacement from the modulator begins with using a 10 mm hexagon wrench (0.39 in.) to pop off the modulator cap and remove the filter. When inserting a new dryer into the modulator users should do so using pliers while keeping the vinyl bag on until ready for installation and positioning the 2 layered part upward. Reinstall the protruded portion of the filter into the modulator and then replace the cap so that it faces downward. Screw part of the cap requires ND-OIL 8 compressor oil or equivalent followed by hexagon wrench installation (10 mm, 0.39 inches) to complete the operation by applying 12.3 N.m torque (125 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf).
