  A: The first procedure to service a Fuel Pressure Regulator starts with removing the air cleaner hose followed by disconnecting the intake air connector assembly. The fuel return hose must be disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator while placing a shop rag beneath the regulator to prevent spills. The engine wire requires removal of its holding bolt from the LH cylinder head cover before disconnecting the protector from its bracket on the RH cylinder head cover. Then lift the engine wire off. First remove the two bolts to pull out the pressure regulator from its position after taking off the O-ring. Before installing the pressure regulator onto the LH delivery pipe you must apply gasoline to a new O-ring then insert it onto the pressure regulator. Check for easy movement of the pressure regulator because O-ring damage may require you to remove it and redo previous installation steps.
