2004 Toyota Solara Wheel Stud Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to replace a Wheel Stud on the rear axle LH hub on 2004 Toyota Solara?
A: Before starting the work disconnect the rear wheel and brake components on the left side. Set two nuts and washers to hold the rear axle LH wheel stud temporarily as shown on the diagram. The tool 09628-10011 of Special Service alongside a hammer handle or substitute tool needs to be used to unscrew the rear axle LH wheel stud. Connect the washer and nut to a new stud as displayed. Hold the hub & bearing assembly with a wooden hammer to install the new rear axle LH wheel stud. Reinstall rear disc and brake caliper LH first before putting back the wheel and tightening its bolt to the specified torque of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.).
