2004 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Service and Repair the Blower Motor Assembly on 2004 Toyota Sienna?
A: A professional should begin blower motor service and repair work by taking out the instrument panel sub-assy W/passenger Air Bag assy. The next step requires removal of the clip which secures the heater to foot duct No.1. Next, disconnect the ECM followed by the stereo component amplifier assy which includes its amplifier part. Beginning by releasing the 2 clamps and 2 nuts and wire harness enables blower assy removal while the process concludes with bolt and 2 screw and nut removal. Release the 2 claw fittings next to remove the air filter sub-assy from the vehicle while extracting the air refiner element from the air filter cover plate. Detaching the cooling unit damper servo sub-assy requires the removal of 3 screws and after that, the blower resistor (manual air conditioning) can be taken out by removing its 2 screws. Detach the blower motor control (auto air conditioning) by removing its two screws from the system. The following process requires uninstallation of the blower W/fan motor sub-assy through 3 screw removals. Plant the blower assy in its original position using the bolt and 2 screws and a nut while maintaining bolt A torque at 9.8 Nm and tightening both clamps and the 2 nuts and wire harness. The vehicle needs completion by reattaching both the instrument panel sub-assy together with the passenger Air Bag assy.
