The service starts by disconnecting oil cooler hoses from the cooler followed by removal of union bolt and plate washer before extracting the oil cooler while carefully removing its O-ring. Check the oil cooler components for damage during the inspection process then buy a new unit if it shows signs of failure. Install a new O-ring onto the oil cooler before proceeding with installation by cleaning the contact surface where the cooler will mount. Apply a thin layer of engine oil to union bolt threads and under its head prior to plate washer and union bolt installation by tightening until difference reaches 68.6 Nm (700 kgf-cm, 51 ft. lbs.). The replacement process requires deinstallation of the oil cooler hoses followed by their connection to the oil cooler. Then reinstall the oil filter and add engine coolant before engine start and leak inspection and oil level verification.
