  • Q: How to service the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2004 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: The Camshaft Position Sensor service requires workers to begin by removing the V-bank cover before draining engine coolant and disconnecting the upper radiator hose while removing the LH No.3 timing belt cover. You must remove the camshaft position sensor after you disconnect the bolt and stud bolt. You should position the Camshaft Position Sensor correctly using its bolt and stud bolt before torquing it to 7.5 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf). Zero out the LH No.3 timing belt cover after reinstalling it then replace the radiator hose and reinstall the V-bank cover. Finish by filling engine coolant followed by leak inspection and ignition timing validation.
