Q: How to remove and install the front Air Bag sensor on 2004 Toyota Celica?
A: You should disconnect these components in this particular sequence to remove the front Air Bag sensor: air cleaner hose, air cleaner cap, air filter, 2 bolts, air cleaner case, connector with sensor assembly installed. Remove the front Air Bag sensor together with its two bolts from the LH side section. Remove the 5 clips and upper front fender apron seal before disconnecting the sensor connector when installed with its assembly on the RH side. Proceed to remove the 2 bolts securing the front Air Bag sensor RH. The front Air Bag sensors need installation through 4 bolts which require 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf) torque setting before connecting the front Air Bag sensor connector when the sensor assembly is in place to prevent malfunction codes. Apply the front sensor to the vehicle position with the arrow oriented toward vehicle forward direction. Mount the headlights onto position using 4 bolts and 2 screws before installing the air cleaner case through 2 bolts and securing the air filter and air cleaner cap and air cleaner hose followed by attaching the upper front fender apron seal with 5 clips.
