  A: Instead of fuel injector replacement start by draining the engine coolant and releasing fuel system pressure. Unfasten the center part of the front suspension upper brace through its two nuts and separating the upper brace. The procedure begins by separating the MAF meter connector along with four vacuum hoses, ventilation hose No. 2 and fuel vapor feed hose from the 2 hose clamps as a result of disconnecting these components from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and V-bank cover sub-assembly. The next step involves loosening the 2 air cleaner cap bolts and air cleaner hose clamp bolt for removing the air cleaner cap and filter element. You must disconnect the emission control valve set on 1MZ-FE engines using these steps: unplug the 3 VSV connectors followed by wire harness clamp removal then detachment of fuel vapor feed hoses No. 1 and No. 2 and 3 vacuum hoses and finally stripping the clamp and 2 nuts. Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank, then install the intake air surge tank and emission control valve bracket with 2 nuts at a torque of 28 N.m (286 kgf.cm, 21 ft.lbf), tighten the 4 bolts with a socket hexagon wrench 8 at the same torque, and install surge tank stays No. 2 and No. 1 with 2 bolts each at a torque of 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf), followed by engine hunger No. 1 with 2 bolts at the same torque, and the pressure feed tube with 3 nuts at a torque of 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf).
