How to replace a thermostat on 2004 Scion xB?

In order to change the thermostat, drain the engine coolant. Just remove the water inlet by loosening the nuts and removing it as well as disconnecting it with the cylinder block. Install a new gasket on the new thermostat and make sure that the jiggle valve points upwards. Install the water inlet back in and, again, look at the engine coolant.
