How to replace the Park/Neutral Safety Switch Assy (ATM) on 2004 Scion xA?

In order to balance the park/ neutral position switch assy, desolder the battery and the control cable. Take out the switch assembly and then replace it with the new assembly tightening all parts as required. Lastly, reattach the control cable and check the position of the switch assembly and shift lever.
