2003 Toyota Highlander Control Arm Parts Q&A
Q: How to replace the Rear Control Arm ASSY No.1 LH on 2003 Toyota Highlander?
A: The procedure to replace the Rear Suspension Arm ASSY No.1 LH commences by removing both the rear wheel together with the stabilizer bar rear. You must disconnect Rear Suspension Arm No. 1 through bolt removal from the inner side and bolt and nut removal from the rear axle carrier's outer side while holding the bolt steady to remove it and fix the nut. Reposition the rear suspension arm No. 1 by installing the inner side with bolt where the paint mark faces towards the rear then fasten the outer side to the rear axle carrier through bolt and nut entering the bolt from in front of the vehicle. Fully tighten the rear suspension arm ASSY No.1 LH by conducting a torque sequence of 100 Nm (1,020 kgf-cm, 74 ft. lbs.) while installing the bolt and fixing the nut after suspension stabilization. Reinstallation will begin with the stabilizer bar rear along with the rear wheel through a torque setting of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.). Next, check the rear wheel alignment.
