When installing the oil cooler begin by washing the mounting point on the cooler with engine oil then position the new O-ring on the cooler body before applying the oil to bolt threads along with its head. Security measures require installation of the oil cooler combined with its plate washer through a union bolt installation process that delivers 68.6 Nm (700 kgf-cm, 51 ft. lbs.) torque. First install the oil filter then fill the system with engine coolant followed by starting the engine to examine both engine oil level and check for any oil leakage.
