  A: The cleaning process of throttle bodies starts with draining out coolant from the system. First detach the air cleaner cap along with its hose before you split the accelerator control cable assembly. Remove the throttle body assembly in this step by disconnecting both the throttle position sensor connector and ISC valve connector and then disconnecting the vacuum hose along with the two water bypass hoses. You should remove the throttle body from the intake manifold by uninstalling three bolts and extracting the throttle body gasket. Unscrew the two screws to delete the throttle position sensor. Finally take out the idle speed control valve assembly by removing its three screws. Reassemble the idle speed control valve while using a new gasket but only after checking that the throttle valve stays completely shut before you place the throttle position sensor. You should first rotate the sensor 45 degrees to the left for positioning at the closed throttle valve and then place it into the throttle body before rotating it 45 degrees to the right while securing with two screws.
