Start servicing the 4-speed automatic transmission by first draining the ATF through the drain plug after removing the park/neutral position switch then disconnect the valve body and throttle cable using a retaining bolt extraction and cable pulling method. Installation of a new throttle cable requires curvature to a 200 mm (7.87 inches) radius followed by gentle inner cable pulling up to first opposing force then securing the stopper at 0.8 to 1.5 mm (0.031 to 0.059 inch) distance from the outer cable termination. The installation process requires inserting a new O-ring onto the throttle cable followed by cable pull-in until desired tension then securing it with the retaining bolt tightened to 10 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the valve body together with the park/neutral position switch before linking the control cable to the manual shift lever and the throttle cable to the motor.
