2001 Toyota Sienna Starter Motor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the starter motor on 2001 Toyota Sienna?
A: The process of servicing and repairing the starter motor starts with taking out the battery along with the tray. Before starting the repair of the starter motor cruiser control system owners should disconnect the actuator connector and clamp then remove 3 bolts which detach the actuator assembly with its bracket. First disconnect the A/T shift control cable as well as the engine wire and starter connector. The first step is to remove the nut that disconnects the wire before uninstalling 2 bolts and the A/T shift control cable clamp along with the starter motor by applying torque of 37 N.m (380 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf). Set the procedure for installation by following the reverse process of dismantling steps.
